There are a lot of beautiful butterflies that live here in Massachusetts. We see them throughout each summer here on our farm. They play an important role in pollination, alongside native bees and honeybees. They can also be important indicator species, telling us about the health of our ecosystem.
We’ll talk about each of the butterfly species that live in our area, about what they like to eat, and how we can help them to thrive and be happy right in our own backyards. Each participant will build a butterfly habitat to bring home and put up in the garden. Everything is included in the workshop.
This workshop is intended for families. Priced per child, parents participate for free. This workshop is suitable for children 8 and up.
